A mixed cast for this landmark game. 3/4 of the way through.

We had 3 decent level players and one more limited.

We swapped teams around after every set and you can see the impact.

The limited player was more back to the wall, can't play off the glass very well and really talks himself into a bad headspace.

But you know what, he was there and he enjoys it.

I said after, if he'd thought about playing some games with people more around his level and he said that he doesn't mind getting beat as he learns more. Good attitude! although on court you'd think he was in a deep depression ha ha.

First set me and my partner went 3-0 up before it went back to 3-2. I wasn't bothered in the slightest but I could sense some unease, worry and impatience within points from my partner. He got himself sorted though and we cruised to the first set.

Second set, I was with the more limited player and had a goal of getting at least two cames but alas it was not to be.

We were 40 love up in my only service game and I got fridged and the chance was gone.

For others we had deuce a few times but we were really never going to win two points in a row so I wasn't too surprised at the score.

I did find I was thinking about my partners game too much and this made my game much worse. I was also trying to close off points quicker than I would like, taking too much risk. Wasn't my best set tbh.

3rd set, me and my partner cruised through it while I sa the same thing happen to me across the net/ impatience and easy unforced errors.

It was a nice warm day. good to get some excercise. I got a couple of Chanclatazos which felt good, absolutely rattled them of the floor, side glass and then back glass. unreturnable.

Match was also recorded and my main takeway after viewing the video is that is my form is terrible. I need to use my non dominant hand more, to turn my body more, to splitstep ALL the time.

So that's the challenge for the next 10 matches or so, better prep to receive shots, better habits in-game for better Padel
